Lionel Darce in Singapore

Lionel Darce (d. 1926), a member of the British Army. He left Ireland and joined a bank in Canada before the First World War. After the war went to Singapore where here worked for the Strait Settlement, which was the name for Singapore at the time. In Sinagpore he married a Malaysian woman and had one son (Lionel) who now lives in Australia. His wife and son were interned by the Japanese during the Second World War.
