Alice’s grandmother, Katie (Eames) Lynch, was born in Dromahair, County Leitrim in 1883. She lived in Bundoran, and emigrated to New York City around 1902, following her sister. She died in 1919, shortly after the birth of her daughter, Alice’s mother.
