Group of republican prisoners photographed in cell 26 in a H-Block wing in the late 1980’s. One of the issues the prisoners had campaigned for in the 1980’s was to be allowed to take photographs. This photograph was taken by a prison officer at the request of the prisoners. This became a regular event. Seated in the front is Séanna Walsh, who formally announced the end of the IRA’s armed struggle on 28 July 2005.
