William Arnold McConnell, Brian’s great uncle, born in 1906 in Monaghan town. He arrived in Toronto in 1925. William moved to Timmins in northern Ontario where he worked in a gold mine. During the Second World War he was a guard in a Prisoner of War Camp for Germans in Ontario.
