Patrick and Annie – both teachers – married ‘late in life’. Their wedding photographs were made in the Lafayette’s Studios in Dublin. They both taught in Béal na Blath Primary School – two room school. Patrick was the headmaster and had a reputation for being strict. Annie had her first of four children in 1918 when she was 36: two girls and two boys. Pat’s father Daniel Michael was born in 1922. He was born two days after the assination of Michael Collins.
